This course is designed to provide the student with the skills and tools needed to properly secure a Windows client and server system using various tools and techniques. During the course the student will perform tasks that show step-by-step how to apply the various lessons and increase the security of the Windows OS. Upon completion of the course the student will be equipped with the skills needed to properly assess the security of a system, perform a needs assessment and work towards increasing system security.
The course is designed to specifically cover those concepts on Windows Server 2008 and higher as well as Windows XP and higher versions. Attention will be focused on common security issues and practices for all systems and those issues that are unique to a version of Windows or an environment.
